Tallara
Parentage
Tallara resulted from a cross between Parker and Pajaro made in 1988 at the Institute for Horticultural Development, Knoxfield, Victoria, Australia, and tested under the selection number 88-022-296.
Fruit Quality
Berries of Tallara are large and highly attractive, being orange red in colour and very glossy. Shape is uniformly conical with little variation between primary and secondary fruits. Flesh is medium red with a lighter coloured core, substantially firmer than Pajaro and moderately resistant to rain damage. The calyx detaches easily and is slightly reflexed.
Plant Characteristics
Plants are vigorous with medium green leaves and an upright growth habit.
