Mellow Yellow
|
Many Hybrid Teas and Floribundas are rather brightly coloured so Mellow Yellow is a very useful addition with blooms a shade of soft yellow that absolutely fits the name. The blooms are the classic Hybrid Tea shape and are produced on long, straight stems. An excellent, healthy and vigorous plant. Moderate fruity fragrance. |

St. Alban
|
A beautiful rose at all stages of its development. As the blooms open, we have a lovely rounded globular bud, within which we can catch glimpses of numerous folded petals. Gradually they unfurl until we have an attractive shallow cup filled with numerous petals.
The colour commences as a rich yellow, gradually tending towards a soft yellow. This is not a very formal flower - just a pretty arrangement of petals.
The growth is the kind we so much favour - an arching shrub, holding the numerous branches with nicely poised flowers. Plenty of luxurious foliage with excellent disease-resistance.
It has a pleasing fresh scent that is hard to define, but has been described as similar to the fragrance we experience when we walk into a florists’ shop.
We have named this rose in honour of the Royal National Rose Society, which was founded in 1876 and was the first Society of its kind. Over the years it has been at the centre of all matters to do with roses and has done so much good work |

Teasing Georgia
|
A yellow rose of delicate beauty; the flowers are of a particularly pleasing cupped formation. The centre petals are in the form of a rich, deep yellow cup, while the outer petals fall back and fade to palest yellow providing a most pleasing, two-tone effect.
The growth is strong but graceful, displaying the flowers nicely.
Pleasant, medium-strong Tea Rose fragrance. Good disease-resistance and repeat-flowering.
Named for Mr. Ulrich Meyer, after his wife Georgia, both of whom are well known media personalities in Germany.
Winner of the Henry Edland Medal in 2000 for the best scented variety in the R.N.R.S. Trials and awards in other trials both in the UK and around the world.
May need some summer pruning if grown as a shrub. |

The Pilgrim
|
An excellent pure yellow rose, that combines unusually strong and healthy growth with blooms of the utmost delicacy and charm. These are quite large and evenly shaped, with many small petals opening to form a flat flower. They have a softness of texture which is most pleasing, and look particularly fine when arranged in a bowl.
Its fine fragrance is a perfect balance between a classic Tea scent and the English Rose, myrrh fragrance.
The Pilgrim is taken from Chaucer’s ‘Canterbury Tales’. |

Tweety
|
A large light yellow rose with a firm bud and petal texture, heavy stems and attractive glossy mid green foliage, opening uniformly into a classically shaped bloom. |
|
Windrush
|
This is not a typical English Rose: it might equally well have been included among the Modern Shrub Roses. Nonetheless, it is a very good rose, with wide open, light yellow, semi-double flowers with a large bunch of stamens at the center. Should be dead-headed to encourage repeat flowering or may be left for a good crop of hips. The growth is very strong and reliable and it repeats well. There is very little disease.
There is a light, spicy, musk fragrance.
Named after the River Windrush in southern England. |
