Description
Grows to a maximum size of 136.7 centimetres (4.48 ft).
Geographic range
Found only on Angel de la Guarda Island in the Gulf of California, Mexico. The type locality given is "about 4 miles southeast of Refugio Bay, at 1500 feet elevation, Isla Angel de la Guarda, Gulf of California, México (near 29°29½'N, 113°33'W)" (4 miles = 6.4 km; 1,500 feet = 460 m).
Conservation status
This species is classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (v3.1, 2001). Species are listed as such due to their wide distribution, presumed large population, or because it is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a more threatened category. The population trend is stable. Year assessed: 2007.
