DESCRIPTION:
A small (up to 369 mm or 15" in total length) snake with more than 20 dark brown to black bands on a cream to light yellow background. Some subspecies have secondary orange saddles between the black bands (see subspecies descriptions below).

DESCRIPTION:
A medium (up to 1,014 mm or 40" in total length) slender, tan or cream colored snake with two wide, dark brown or black, irregular-edged stripes on the back.

DESCRIPTION:
Arizona's largest rattlesnake (up to 1,676 mm or 66" in total length excluding rattle). Coloration is gray or tan, sometimes with a pinkish, rust, or orange cast especially on the posterior portion of the body.

DESCRIPTION:
A medium to large (up to 1,650 mm or 63" in total length excluding rattle) rattlesnake with highly variable coloration and large dorsal blotches. Coloration can be straw-yellow, tan, pink, salmon, gray, gray-brown, off-white, cream, or olive.
