Winona
Recommended for difficult growing conditions and northern regions. Released from the University of Minnesota Breeding Program. This late-midseason variety was released for its winter hardiness for northern locations and high disease resistance.
The fruit is conic in shape, large, and firm, with a bright-red color and good flavor. Plants are vigorous, resistant to red stele, and have shown tolerance to black root-rot disease. A good choice for difficult growing conditions.
