Windrush
This is not a typical English Rose: it might equally well have been included among the Modern Shrub Roses. Nonetheless, it is a very good rose, with wide open, light yellow, semi-double flowers with a large bunch of stamens at the center. Should be dead-headed to encourage repeat flowering or may be left for a good crop of hips. The growth is very strong and reliable and it repeats well. There is very little disease.
There is a light, spicy, musk fragrance.
Named after the River Windrush in southern England.
