Delaware Chief[Hollingsworth, 1984]. Herbaceous, Red, Double Blooms. It is an Early Midseason bloomer. A bomb type which opens a cool ruby red and lightens to old rose red as the flowers expands, cent grows into a large, globular form. Medium tall, vigorous, makes a wide bush, stands well. Leaflets dark green, color holds fairly well as summer progresses.
