Belleville[Harold Wolfe/Hollingsworth. 1998]. Herbaceous, Lavender, Anemone Blooms. It blooms Late Midseason. Opens a light cyclamen purple. As the flower matures the carpels become dark purple while the petaloodes become pale. Forming a conspicuous contrast. It is a tall, broad robust bush. A very strong grower. Dark purple shoots, and the mature leaflets are dark green. Big flowers and sidebuds, Flower stems benefit from support. Anemone-Bomb; many long petals, very large center of slender segments; opens a light cyclamen purple, changing lighter as the flower matures, developing a conspicuous contrast with the purple carpels. Also colorful early, immature stems are dark purple in early spring, the foliage maturing to dark green. Flowered stems may benefit by support. Harold Wolfe said that he kept it upon seeing it made many seeds. It is a proven parent of wanted forms.
