It is of smaller size, perhaps 28 inches and it is covered each spring with bright yellow flowers. The flowers are held even with the foliage.. This description was listed by The Chugai Nursery near Kobe, Japan in their 1940-41 catalog The purest yellow, large full fragrant flowers imported novelty raised from a cross between Paeonia lutea and Yaso-okina.
